Soil & Groundwater Remediation For Construction Upgrades

During building expansion and construction upgrades at a church, for abandoned USTs filled with cement/sand and significant oil impacted soils were discovered. Pioneer responded to the discovery, uncovered the USTs and evaluated soil conditions. The USTs were found to contain numerous holes.

Pioneer’s remediation activities were coordinated with the numerous construction contractors working on the building expansion and construction upgrades. Pioneer obtained approvals from state regulatory agencies to remove the USTs, and excavated many tons of contaminated soil as well as pumping contaminated groundwater in order to quickly remediate the site.

Subsequent soil and groundwater sampling demonstrated the site soils and groundwater followed the state regulations. Pioneer conducted the expedited UST closures and remediation for case closure while working with the construction contractors to allow expansions and continue their operations.
