UST Closures & Subsurface Assessment

The steel UST was a great idea several decades ago, but the problem is that metal corrodes and its contents of hazardous substances leak. Metals corrode at different rates by various underground factors contributing to the time until a hole develops. Most of these substances are petroleum based and include gasoline, diesel, kerosene, waste oil, solvents and various heating oils. Pioneer provides exceptional experience for all issues associated with USTs and discharges of the hazardous substances. This includes permitting, removal and assessment of soil and/or groundwater testing. Pioneer’s services include laboratory and report preparation to the regulatory agencies, attorneys and insurance companies.

Soil, Rock & Groundwater Contamination Investigation

The important issue is what you cannot see that determines whether the site has no problems/issues or perhaps even of $100,000, or more of remediation.  All owners, buyers and sellers must know what these conditions are, so that they can best evaluate the information to make decisions for their future business interests. Pioneer Environmental Group, LLC is significantly experienced at total management, detailed field investigations and evaluations for the environmental issues of the soil, bedrock and groundwater concerns. Every property has different historical uses and subsurface conditions that require unique investigations. Whether it is geo-physical surveys, borings, test pits or groundwater temporary or permitted test wells, Pioneer can get you the information you need.

Insurance & Remediation Funding Experience

Assisting clients with insurance coverage to help pay for the cleanup contamination is not new to Pioneer. The service is conducted with your attorney to work as a team for you. Pioneer’s personnel is also exceptionally experienced at assisting its clients with the funding process through the NJDEP and the NJ Economic Development Authority. The activity includes a Scope of Work and Workplan to the NJDEP and application to the NJEDA.
